First time I order from Johnson Deli and I was surprised to the rapid delivery. I did not get extra butter nor syrup for the pancakes, but I found them fluffy and good tasting. The bacon was crispy but the scrambled eggs were too well done for my preference. The toasted everything bagel was perfectly toasted and the right amount of cream cheese was smeared. I have not tasted the chicken cutlet parmesan hero, but I noticed that they did not use enough marinara sauce. I know I'm going to enjoy Floyd's carrot cake later tonight. I enjoy a great tasting carrot cake, and I know that Floyd's carrot cake is the best of the best carrot cake here in Riverdale, Bronx. I've not been able to visit their bakery, so I was happy to see it on the menu as I was placing my online order. I will be ordering from Johnson Deli in the near future. And if possible, I may take the bus and personally visit Johnson Deli.
We've had takeout from here a few times now and are impressed with the fresh ingredients, diverse menu options and friendly service. Haven't tried delivery but plan to - they are open 6am-10pm! How great is that? Will explore the hot food but certainly salads and sandwiches are exactly what you ask for. If delivery is good too will add another star...

Okay so we order sandwiches on Uber Eats. One roast beef, one chicken cutlet and one caesar wrap. The caesar wrap was mediocre-it was a little soggy. The chicken cutlet and roast beef were top tier! They were so delicious and a decent size. One will definitely fill you up with no sides! We also got our food within a half hour and it was so fast and still warm! I wish I took pictures but they were so good they were gone so fast. Definitely a great deli!
I am so happy to have this place open up in the neighborhood. Previously there was no shop in this part of Riverdale to get a sandwich other than at Leibman's deli at a huge cost. People in the store are very friendly, make excellent sandwiches at good prices. Plus they have a big smoothie operation going on, plus cooked foods. The falafel's are excellent, and they have some very delicious cakes from Lloyd's. I'm giving them five stars for what they do.
I love me some Riverdale Deli on 238 but Johnson Deli makes the best bacon egg and cheese in the neighborhood. Salad is good, chopped cheese is good, and the #9 and #10 breakfast sandwiches are the best. Drink selection could be better but we can't have it all...
Decided to try out this pretty standard looking new deli yesterday and was very pleasantly surprised. They have great vegetarian selections and are fine with substituting their fake meats into the listed sandwiches/wraps/burgers. Overall really high quality for a deli too!
